The Dan Beard District serves the South section of Davidson County in the greater Antioch area. The Dan Beard District has grown to serve more than 700 youth in both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.

The Dan Beard District is proud to announce that the District received Gold for the 2015 Journey to Excellence. The District exceeded several criteria for JTE including; fundraising, Membership, and youth retention. Several Packs and Troops also received great JTE scores.

Summer Camp Activities.
We are preparing for a big summer of camping for both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. This year’s theme for Day Camp is Cub Wars, a fun spin-off from Star Wars. The theme for this year’s resident Cub Scout Camp is Medieval Times, The Quest for Cub-A-Lot. Both are sure to be a great time. If you have questions about registering, contact Ian Weir.
Youth Protection Policy Change:
As of June 1st 2015 all adults are required to take Youth Protection Training. Youth protection training is available online through myscouting.org and in person. Visit the Dan Beard training tab to learn about youth protection training opportunities.

|District Cub and Family Camping Weekend
Boxwell Scout Reservation, Camp Light
The District will be hosting a Cub and Family Camping weekend for all of the local Cub Scout Packs. We will have a morning of BB guns, Bows and Arrows, and other fun Cub Activities. The afternoon will be reserved for Packs and Dens to work on Cub Scout adventure requirements that can only be completed outside.
|Spring Neckerchief Camporee

Registration Opens April 8th
With the recent uniform regulation change, the neckerchief can be more a part of Scouting than ever before. This camporee will focus on the neckerchief and its many uses in Scouting, especially its use as an identifier of scouts when they are dressed in appropriate non-uniform clothing.
