New District Commissioner
Please join me in welcoming the newest edition to the Trail of Tears District, Laura Bohling! Laura is our new District Commissioner, and is jumping in with both feet. She is excited to be back working with the Boy Scouts, and is ready to help take our Commissioner staff to a new level to make sure that all of our units are well taken care of! This isn’t Laura’s first experience with Scouts. She has a son who is an Eagle Scout, served as a Bear and Webelos Den Leader, and was on the Activities Committee for the District. She has a great knowledge of the program and what is needed to help make our district succeed! We are excited to have such an enthusiastic partner and can’t wait to see what all she can do!

Annual Greenway Clean Up
Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation is excited again this year to have the help of our Scouts here in Rutherford County to help with the greenway clean up. “Stones Throw Away” is going to be on Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Last year we had a great turn out and Scouts collected more trash than they could handle! We hope to continue our work, along with the Murfreesboro Parks, so that we can ensure everyone can enjoy a clean greenway. Scouts were the largest group to show up to help, and it was noticed by everyone! Let’s keep working to show the community just what it takes to be a Scout!
