Scout Discovery Day
This year’s Scout Discovery Day is September 20 at the National Guard Base. Scout Discovery Day is a fun day to see exactly what Scouting is and some of the impressive things that units do each year. This event is open for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturers to show off their skills. We encourage Cub Scouts to display some of the highlights from their year such as a Raingutter Regatta, Pinewood Derby track, or any other fun craft learned. Boy Scouts and Venturers can exhibit activities like outdoor cooking displays, knot tying stations, displays of backpacking essentials, or teaching Scout skills that will catch people’s eyes. This year’s location has been changed so be sure to make it out for this exciting day!

Greenway Clean-up
On May 10, our Scouts participated in Murfreesboro’s “Stones Throw Away” Greenway Cleanup. Scouts spent their Saturday hiking through the 11 trailheads, over 12 miles of Greenway and Stones River ensuring the Greenway system is in top condition, picking up trash along the way. Over 150 Scouts supported the efforts to cleanup Rutherford County’s parks, collecting approximately 750 pounds of litter. They worked alongside other community volunteers to cover every portion of the Greenway and create impressive results
