Navigators Scholarships Announced

The Navigator’s Scholarship was created by Shoney’s and COI Foodservice in 2005. The goal is to provide scholarships for deserving young men and women in the Metropolitan Nashville AVID program. The Learning for Life program of the Boy Scouts of America is proud to assist Shoney’s with this honor. In order to qualify for a scholarship, students must have participated in an Exploring program and/or job shadow, community service and various AVID activities held during school hours. Grades and ACT scores are a factor as well; however the scholarship focuses on the need based off the entire application including an essay portion.

Shoney’s sponsors a golf tournament each year to help raise funds to keep this Scholarship program going. This year’s Navigators Golf Tournament is in the process of coming together. Please check back soon for more information!
