Trainer Edge

Trainers Edge is a Train the Trainer program. It is designed to develop our Scout Training Volunteers so they can provide outstanding training and development opportunities to our Scouts and Scout Leaders. The Trainers Edge will provide practical knowledge on how to facilitate learning in a classroom setting, or one on one. The workshop will provide practical knowledge and guided coaching to polish the skills you have and to equip you with new skills and tools.

Wilderness First Aid Training

Latimer Reservation is proud to offer to Scouts (age 14 ) and adults the opportunity to complete the Wilderness First Aid Training. This training is required of each unit participating in any of the national high adventure programs of the BSA. This training will be conducted by Bob, Janet and Katie Forde, certified instructors.

University of Scouting

The University of Scouting (UoS) is Middle Tennessee Council’s premier one-day core and supplemental training opportunity for all registered adult Scout leaders. UoS goes beyond Leader Specific and even Advanced Training to train Scout Leaders the knowledge and skills on specific topics that help them excel in their efforts to deliver the promise of Scouting. The UoS goal is to provide information that is practical, and immediately useful on topics that are not readily available at the local unit level.
