District News

Introduction
Hello everyone, my name is Michael Jensen and I have recently become the new District Executive over the Black Fox District. As a kid I was never a part of Scouting, but after attending a couple meetings and seeing how well the Scouts present themselves, it is something I definitely wish I would have joined. I was previously an Assistant Manager at Walgreens before beginning my career with the Boy Scouts. I have enjoyed my first couple of weeks and I am excited about the challenges that lay ahead of me.

Pinewood Derby
We recently held a local Pinewood Derby at Cassville Elementary School and everything was great. We had a great turn out and the kids all had a good time. The parents and siblings also entered cars and competed against each other. We had a special appearance from Snoopy and The Red Baron, along with several wonderful designs by the Scouts in the area.

New District Chairman
We would like to welcome our new District Chairman, Jim Carden. He took the position in January and is excited about continuing the growth of the Black Fox District. Jim is the owner of ABC Ice in McMinnville, and very active in activities with his local church. His family is also praticipate in Scouting; his son is active in Boy Scouts and his daughter is a member of an Explorer Post chartered through a local ambulance service.
