"It's Time to Celebrate"
The Cherokee District is proud to have great volunteers. We held our annual District Banquet February 2, 2008. Many leaders gathered to enjoy a night of achievement and celebration. Also, we would like to recognize Phillip Rice and Michelle Navel for receiving the Long Rifle award. These two have truly exemplified leadership and commitment in the Cherokee District. Jackie Jones also has made a great difference in the Cherokee District. He received the Volunteer award; this is an award of merit and strong involvement with the district and council. We would also like to thank Tabatha Jeter for all of her hard work and effort for making this a night to remember. We also give a big thanks to every leader in the Cherokee District. You all are here to insure that we uphold the mission of the Boy Scouts of America and reach youth through this amazing movement.

Cub Scouts, Start your Engines!!!
The Pinewood Derby Season hit an all time high. Boys throughout the Cherokee District gathered to race their "works of art" known as Pinewood Derby Cars. We would like to extend a Cub Scout thanks to Pack 74 for hosting the District's this year annual Derby!! Remember to always "Do Your Best!!"
