Webelos Leader Outdoor Experience (WLOE)

Webelos leaders from across the council will be joining together to learn how to bring the Webelos program to their Scouts! They will be meeting at Boxwell Scout Reservation for a fun-filled, action packed weekend! Don't miss the opportunity to join them.

What is WLOE?

WLOE is an energetic training that will cover almost everything youneed to know to plan and run a Webelos program. It's more than just a weekend campout - it includes classes that expose you tomany of the activity pins, camping as a patrol, outdoor activities, camping skills, uniforming, the transition from Webelos to Boy Scouts, and Cub Scout cooking demonstrations! In short, everything you need to know to make your Webelos program a success! Bring your favorite songs, skits & musical instruments for the campfire program.

Why do I need to go to WLOE?

By attending you will gain knowledge about the Webelos program. Those who benefit most are leaders who currently work with, or will be working with, Webelos. If you are responsible for Webelos bridging over to your troop, or training scout leaders within your district about Webelos-to-Scout transition, or are a Cubmaster or Committee member, you will find useful information. And don't forget - Attendance in this course is one of the requirements for the Webelos Den Leader Award.

Where and when is WLOE?

WLOE is at Camp Stahlman on Boxwell Reservation and begins at 8 p.m. Friday, November 7, to noon Sunday, November 9, 2008.

Important Information for those attending WLOE:

Personal tents will be used for accommodations for each individual. If you do not have a personal tent or have access to one, wall tents are available at Boxwell (please indicate on the form if a tent will be required.) Due to Patrol camping, only spouses will be permitted to share the same tent.

Separate bathrooms and showers will be designated for men and women.
