Scouting For Food

As Scouts, we know how fortunate we are to have a warm meal every night - whether around the campfire or at the kitchen table. And we know that not everyone is so lucky. That’s the genesis of Scouting for Food, the annual food-collection drive run by Middle Tennessee Council on first week of February each year. Scouting for Food takes place on two consecutive weekends. On the first weekend, Scouts distribute bags and/or door hangers to let their neighbors know about the drive. On the second, Scouts revisit those houses to pick up bags full of canned food, cereal, pasta, peanut butter, juice and other nonperishable items.

Webelos Crossover Challenge

Webelos and Arrow Lights will camp out, complete requirements, do fun activities, and cook all along-side with the troop. Enjoy a weekend of troop life with a troop from their district.

Memorial Flag Placement

The Middle Tennessee Council, Boy Scouts of America invites you to attend the Annual Memorial Day Flag Placement at the National Cemetery in Madison. This is just one of many ways the Scouts can show their patriotism and citizenship for our Country's Veterans. This tradition was started more than 50 years ago, and still continues to grow.

Cub and Family

Held at Boxwell Reservation’s famous Cubworld! It is an organized day time activity with shooting ranges, crafts, games, and projects. Any event at Cubworld is an excellent opportunity to make new friends, spend time with family, and share in the fun and fellowship! Be sure to sign up early; this activity fills up fast.

Cub and Family at Latimer

Each spring Latimer Reservation opens its doors to Cub Scouts and their families throughout the Middle Tennessee Council for the annual Spring Cub and Family. Latimer Reservation is 1550 acres of pristine wilderness in Spencer, Tennessee.

This family camping weekend will include shooting ranges, crafts, games, and special projects. Bring your fishing pole and fish the 21-acre lake.

Camping will be available for families to bring their own tents or you may rent a tent in Tent City. Each family is responsible for their own food for the weekend. Sometimes our packs go into together on the food for the weekend, so check with your pack.

This will be a fun packed weekend, so plan to attend today!

Shooting Sports Days

These events are for newly joined Scouts, in different locations throughout the council for your convenience. The focus is for every new Scout to have an opportunity to do what we know they would like to do the most, shoot BBs and Bows. This is a quick, well organized event that is facilitated by a trained range safety officer.

Veteran's Day Parade

Every year in November, hundreds of Scouts from the Middle Tennessee Council march in the parade to honor the country.
