National Youth Leadership Training
NYLT is an action-packed, exciting program designed to provide youth members of the MTCBSA, with leadership skills and experience that they can use in their home units and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.
Participants learn and practice Goal Setting, Planning, Problem Solving, Decision Making, and Conflict Resolution though classes, games, and outdoor activities. Participants learn to use the Leading EDGE and the Teaching EDGE by working with their patrols in an exciting and challenging course environment.
Venturing Leadership Summit
Venturing Summit is a weekend is for all registered Venturing youth and Sea Scouts as well as adults who have Venturing program responsibilities and interest.
In addition to Venturing Advisors, Associate Advisors, and Crew Committee Members, we strongly encourage Boy Scout Leaders, Commissioners, and District Training Team members who would like to learn more about Venturing to attend this weekend as well.
Kodiak
Kodiak is designed to be an adventure that pushes the boundaries of every participant, one that will encourage you to try new things that may be out of your comfort zone. Each participant will be challenged with new activities and skills such as bike riding, realistic first aid, sailing, and outdoor cooking.
Participants will be split into clans of bears to signify the challenge with the intent of preparing for the future with servant leadership in mind.

Den Chief Training
As a Scouts BSA, you have the unique opportunity to become a Den Chief, a Scout who assists a Cub Scout Den leader or Webelos Scout Den leader at Den meetings, Pack meetings, and other events. The Den Chief is a ready source of games, songs, skits, and skills, and he encourages the other boys in their advancement.
Powder Horn
Powder Horn is an Outdoor/High Adventure resource management course designed to motivate and prepare adult and youth leaders to provide their unit with a safe and correct Outdoor/High Adventure activities.
This course will give all participants an opportunity to experience the many different Outdoor/ High Adventure Activities available to the Scouting Program.
